Suzanne Folsom: The World Bank Group

Suzanne Folsom served the World Bank Group as Counselor to the President and Director of the Department of Institutional Integrity between 2003 and 2008 in Washington D.C. She was a counselor to three bank presidents during periods of unprecedented public examination.

Suzanne Folsom provided strategic and legal guidance on policy and institutional relations regarding the Bank’s project lending portfolio and its potential risks and directed a groundbreaking global anti-corruption initiative.

As the head of the bank’s anti-corruption unit, Mrs. Folsom received high marks from Paul Volcker, former Federal Reserve Chairman, for her efforts to combat corruption in an organization where such efforts were met with resistance.  Former World Bank Presidents Paul Wolfowitz and Jim Wolfensohn also commended Suzanne for her efforts.
