Suzanne Folsom: Helped Turn-Around and Restructure AIG

Suzanne Folsom is a leading female General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer who has received numerous awards for her excellence in legal, regulatory and compliance matters. She has decades of broad international experience with public and private corporations alike, and she previously served as the Deputy General Counsel and Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer for the American International Group (AIG). 

There, Mrs. Folsom established and implemented best-in-class regulatory and compliance processes during the height of the financial crisis, helping stabilize and turn around the company without a single asset being seized.


In 2015, Suzanne Folsom was honored as a Woman of Excellence with Legal Momentum's Aiming High Award for her proven success in building best-in-class corporate governance and compliance programs. She has also been recognized by Ethisphere Institute as a top ethical general counsel for five consecutive years, and she was presented with the Anastasia D. 

Kelly Award by InsideCounsel Magazine at the Transformative Leadership Awards in recognition of her commitment to accelerating the ascendancy of women to senior leadership roles in corporations and within the government.
